BEI's SwiftComm Wireless Sensor Interface Named as Golden Mousetrap Finalist
SwiftComm wireless sensor interface from BEI Industrial Encoders was named as a
finalist in the Design News Golden Mousetrap awards in the category of Feedback Devices for Motion Control/Automation. This award recognizes engineering innovation and creativity in product design.
SwiftComm is a robust and secure wireless interface with the built-in reliability need for real-time industrial control. Fast boot-up and a data transmit time of 1700 times per second allow critical position/speed feedback data to be seamlessly sent to control systems without expensive cabling. SwiftComm is also equipped with several
fail-safes if signal interference is encountered. The SwiftComm system includes the transmitter-receiver pair, which communicates using a point-to-point frequency-hopping 2.4 GHz RF protocol. SwiftComm is ideal for a wide variety of industrial applications where cable runs are expensive to install and maintain.
