BEI Stainless Steel Encoders Resist Chemical Attack
BEI’s industry standard H25 and H20 incremental rotary encoders are now available with a stainless steel housing option. Harsh industrial applications often expose plant equipment to caustic chemical materials, resulting in premature deterioration and failure. Now you can prevent costly equipment downtime and replacement by ordering your BEI encoders with a 304 series stainless steel encoder body and bearing housing. This provides exceptional resistance to the corrosive agents often found in wash-down and chemical environments. This option is ideal for use in chemical, petrochemical, food, and medical industries.
The H25 is the flagship of the BEI Industrial Encoder Division product line. It offers features such as EMI shielding, 40 lb. dual, preloaded ABEC 7 bearings, matched thermal coefficients on critical components, and custom high-efficiency optics. The H20 is a compact encoder that features heavy-duty bearings, shock resistant disc and conforms to NEMA 4 and 13 requirements. |

News: NEW Rugged Linear Encoders from BEI
 Adding to its growing family of dependable, durable position sensors, BEI Industrial Encoder Division introduces a new line of linear encoders. The LN series linear encoders provide rapid, accurate and repeatable position feedback with a unique rugged design. Featuring a stainless steel scale, sealed read head and industry leading IP67 environmental rating, LN linear encoders offer exceptional resistance to shock, vibration, and contaminants. This sturdy design reduces the risk of breakage and system downtime. LN linear encoders are able to operate in harsh industrial environments with no air purging system required. Dust, liquids, and debris will not affect its performance. Designed with a non-contacting system of measurement, there are no parts to wear out, eliminating costly maintenance. LN linear encoders are ideal for a wide variety of applications, including machine control, automated processes, and pick and place operations.
Standard measuring resolutions of 0.5 µm to 10 µm are available. Scale measuring lengths range from as small as 2 inches to as long as 36 feet. The LN linear encoder operates between 5 and 28 VDC and is equipped with either line driver or open collector outputs. Universal mounting adapters and a variety of standard electrical interfaces make them easy to integrate into your control system.
